This year we baptized 12 people, added 20 members and we constituted as a church during a special worship service at First Baptist Kenner. We now have a working budget, a stewardship team, ministry teams and a small staff.
We have three amazing Hope Communities in three different areas of the city working to reach a neighborhood or people group lead by capable disciple makers. Our Mid-City group is focused on a particular neighborhood near Tulane Ave & South Jefferson Davis. Our Metairie Hope Community is focused on college students in our city. And our Kenner Hope Community is focused on multi-family housing units in North Kenner.
About 75 different people are gathering regularly with us for worship. After five years of work and steady growth we not only believe our congregation will make it but we believe we are making a significant kingdom impact in our city.
In 2014 our Hope Church family gave 40% of the resources needed to meet our annual budget. Churches and other organizations gave 30% and individuals outside of our city gave the remaining 30%. There is steady growth in our Hope Church giving which will lead to Hope becoming a self sustaining church.
We still need our friends and ministry partners to give. We are so very grateful for each person who has made a sacrifice to contribute to our ministry because every dollar given is an investment in changing lives, families and neighborhoods. Here at the end of the year we have a lot to celebrate and a lot of need.
Please prayerfully consider making a tax-deductible, end-of-the-year contribution to Hope Church to help us start 2015 off right.
